On Saturday 3rd June fifteen Rotarians and partners visited Springhill House in Moneymore. This National Trust property is often referred to as one of the most unique 17th century Plantation homes in Ireland. The house was home to ten generations of the Lenox-Conynham familes and is filled with family portraits and 17th century furniture. Also on site is a Costume Museum along with stunning gardens and woodland walks. The Rotarians were given an excellent guided tour by Zac who updated them on the history of the house. The Mid-Ulster Vintage Car Club had a vintage day in the grounds and members were able to see a wide variety of classic cars and tractors. Following the visit the group stopped off for a banquet in the Dragon Garden Chinese in Cookstown, where they were joined by some members from the Cookstown Rotary Club, an excellent evening was had and it was good to renew old acquaintances.
