IVAN KEE RETIRES

After 44 years in business well known Furniture Entrepreneur Ivan Kee has retired.

A Past President and Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Club of Enniskillen Ivan's quick wit and business acumen have seen him through a landmark career of which he comments: "I've enjoyed every minute of it".

Before he got closing his doors for the last time on Saturday 12th March and handing over to his son in law Mr David Campbell Ivan had the surprise of his life.

A lone piper from his native Trillick Pipe Band headed an entourage of well wishers into the shop to wish him farewell. Jayne Daly, daughter of the late Past President Raymond McCartney added a touch of splendour and colour to the occasion and shall we say: 'put Ivan well at ease'.

Past President David Hamill on behalf of all those present whom he described as Ivan's 44 Supporters' Club proposed a toast and wished both he and Avril many happy years retirement.

In reply Ivan, clearly shaken by the surprise, thanked the large gathering and said: "If I had known such a crowd was coming I would have saved a few items from the closing down sale and auctioned them off".
