On Tuesday evening 16th November, 3 Enniskillen Rotarians set off in a van from Enniskillen to Romaneche-Thorins, near Lyon in France to the Winery of Georges Duboeuf on a BEAUJOLAIS RUN, to bring back 1,200 bottles of this years Beaujolias Nouveau, which is released on to the market at 00.01 am on the 3rd Thursday of November every year. The target was to raise £10,000 for N.Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke (NICHS), through 4 strands of activity; Profit for the re-sale of the wine, Corporate sponsorship from national & local companies on the side of our van, A Guess the Mileage there & back competition and a French themed evening in the Killyhevlin Hotel on the night of their return 20 November 2010. We actually did achieve our target of £10,000 and a cheque was presented to Andrew Dougal CEO of Northern Ireland Chest Stroke & Heart at our luncheon meeting on Monday 17th January 2011. Those photographed and who travelled are from left to right Foundation Chairman John Trimble, President Alan Cecil and Past President Jenny MCCrea's husband Ken McCrea.
