Santa giving presents

This Monday we enjoyed the company of good friends, family and guests at our annual Christmas Lunch. President Angela proposed a well-deserved 'thank you' to the staff of the Killyhevlin Hotel for providing us with delicious food, not just today but throughout the year. She presented a small gift to Margaret and Esther, who have served us with a smile and helpfulness every Monday.

During our meal the choir of Jones Memorial Primary School entertained us with a medley of Christmas songs - some of them a bit customized, but brilliant -, and even some great Christmas jokes! Well done to all choir members, as well as Mrs Bailie and guest conductor Mrs Logan. Santa made a surprise visit and handed out selection boxes. Luckily all the children had been good this year, even Mrs Bailie!

We welcomed 'our' widows, remembering much loved Rotarians who have passed on. Santa handed out gifts to our widows, which were very gratefully received. Rotary meetings will restart on the 9th of January 2023 with our New Year's Lunch, when Reverend David Cupples will give our New Year's address.
