Past President Seamus O'Connell
Since joining the Rotary Club of Enniskillen in 1984 Seamus has faithfully shared in the promotion of projects and activities which in themselves make great contribution to the Foundation programme.
At times a bit of a joker in the pack this Rotarian is always on hand to give of his support and time. He has held the office of President in 1997-98, done his share as Secretary, speakers convenor and interestingly is a great believer in the true spirit of Christmas as he is always available to be on duty on our annual Santa Mobile. This also reflects his interest in his church, taking a leading role in the care of parishers in his area.
Being a retired Bank Manager, he has for over ten years looked after the welfare of pensioners in Tyrone and Fermanagh and is an active member on the Board of Governors at St. Joseph's College.
When he is not encouraging Rotarians to part with their unwanted bicycles for worthy causes he can be found on the golf course or on the tennis courts and more recently taking photographs.
He is through his service to Rotary and his community - having served as treasurer of the Fermanagh Branch of the Alzheimer's Society for 20 years - a very worthy recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship.
